Driving along the river I found this 2nd year Bald Eagle in a dead tree near the river banks.
The bird is already developing a yellow bill and some white on the head.
It takes a Bald Eagle 4 to 5 years to acquire its adult plumage where the head and tail slowly become white, the eyes gradually change from dark brown to yellow and the beak goes from blackish-gray to yellow.
