Blue Rock-Thrush

Description:

The male Blue Rock Thrush is unmistakable, with all blue-grey plumage apart from its darker wings.
Females and immatures are much less striking, with dark brown upperparts, and paler brown scaly underparts.

I found this bird in an area I would not expect to find it.
Not in a rocky or mountainous area but in a tree in the middle of the desert!

A male. Qatbit area, Dhofar Region, Oman, 7 February 2017
