The Blue-throated Bee-eater (Merops viridis) is recognisable by its bright blue throat, chestnut head and back, and black eye stripe.
The Blue-throated Bee-eater and the Blue-tailed Bee-eater (Merops philippinus) are the only bee-eaters species found in Singapore.
