Cairns Birdwing

Description:

The Cairns Birdwing is the largest of all Australian endemic butterflies and lives in the rainforests of Queensland, northeastern Australia.
The female is bigger than the male and can measure up to 18 cm in wingspan.
The male is green, gold and black and is very colourful, compared to the female which has black and white upper wings, with some yellow.
