Catoptria permutatellus (Grass Moth sp.)

Description:

Catoptria permutatellus (in Dutch: Brede Vlakjesmot) (wingspan: 22-29 mm) is a species of moth of the family Crambidae.
It is found in Europe.
Catoptria permutatellus looks very similar to Catoptria pinella (in Dutch: Egale Vlakjesmot) and Catoptria osthelderi (in Dutch: Smalle Vlakjesmot).
It can be distinguished from Catoptria pinella by the narrow white transverse band on the wing directly behind the 2nd white spot; Catoptria pinella does not have this narrow white band.
Catoptria permutatellus en Catoptria osthelderi can only be distinguished from each pother by microscopic research of the genitalia.
Because of this, I'm not 100% sure that this is Catoptria permutatellus, but it's likely because Catoptria osthelderi is less common.
