Description:
The Cleopatra (Gonepteryx cleopatra) looks very similar to the well-known Common Brimstone (Gonepteryx rhamni), but the distinction is clear in the males.
The top of the male's forewings are yellow with a large orange spot and the hindwings have an orange spot.
The females are yellow-white, just like the female Common Brimstone and are difficult to distinguish from this species.
The Cleopatra is a typical species from around the Mediterranean.
