Common Three-ring

Description:

The Ypthima genus within the Nymphalidae family is a very confusing genus and there is quite some incertainty among experts about the species and subspecies. The curious naming convention in this genus is based on the number of rings (or ocelli) found only on the hindwing of the species. However, counting them may also lead to some problems.
