Description:
The Cuban Trogon is Cuba’s national bird because its colours correspond to those of the Cuban flag.
This medium-sized bird can be found all over Cuba in dry or moist forests, and is identified by its blue upper plumage, white breast, and red feathers in the lower part of its body around the legs.
Its nickname with the locals is Tocororo because of its “toco-toco-tocoro-tocoro” call.
