Description:
Dxocopa linda resembles Adelpha butterflies species, but can be easily distinguished from them by the more angular wing shape and a unique green tongue (clearly shown on the photo).
Doxocopa linda produces 5 subspecies, found variously from Costa Rica to Bolivia and Paraguay.
This is the subspecies Doxocopa linda linda.
Jorge Bizarro, a Brazilian Doxocopa expert, helped me identifiying this butterfly.
