Description:
Enallagma is a genus of damselflies in the family Coenagrionidae.
There are around 70 species within this genus, comprising two major groups, in North America (especially eastern) and Africa, and some smaller groups in Europe and Asia.
There are at least 35 species of these black-striped, blue damselflies known in North America and differentiating them can be a challenge.
