Eois is a pantropical genus of Geometridae moths with more than 250 valid described species, the majority of which occur in the Neotropics. The total richness of the genus is estimated to be more than 1,000 species in the Neotropical region. 
Franziska Bauer, an expert on butterflies from the Senckenberg Research Institute, Museum for Zoology in Dresden, Germany, helped me identifying the genus.
