Eristalis arbustorum (Hoverfly sp.)

Description:

The face of Eristalis arbustorum is completely white-haired.
Older individuals have sometimes a narrow black center stripe on the face.
The pterostigma in the wings is slightly longer than it is wide.
Eristalis arbustorum has a long hairy antenna brush.
The very similar Eristalis abusiva has almost a bare antenna brush.
