Eyprepocnemis plorans is part of the family of field grasshoppers (Acrididae). It is found in dry habitats, especially near the coast on stones and sand. It is quite large and measures up to 3,5 cm. It has a conspicuous yellow band on the hind legs and wings, and its eyes are vertically striped.
