Lineated Woodpecker

Description:

Male Lineated Woodpeckers have a red forehead and red on the cheek, while females have a black forehead and black cheeks.
The Lineated Woodpecker may be confused in its own range with the Crimson-crested Woodpecker (in Panama and south to Argentina).
The white face line of the Lineated Woodpecker however, is much narrower, and the white shoulder lines do not meet on the back (clearly shown on the last photo).
