Loggerhead Kingbird

Description:

The Loggerhead Kingbird (Tyrannus caudifasciatus) is found on the islands of the northern Caribbean.
The Loggerhead Kingbird has seven subspecies, each endemic to one or more Caribbean islands.
For example, there is one on the island of Jamaica (Jamaican Kingbird - Tyrannus caudifasciatus jamaicensis), on Puerto Rico (Puerto Rican Kingbird - Tyrannus caudifasciatus taylori) and on Cuba (Cuban Kingbird - Tyrannus caudifasciatus caudifasciatus).
The Puerto Rican subspecies has been proposed as a separate species, the Puerto Rican Kingbird (Tyrannus taylori).
