Macrophya montana (9-11 mm) is an insect of the Sawflies family (Tenthredinidae).
In the male, the first two pairs of legs are pale yellow, the hind legs are mostly black, but the tips of the tibia and some tarsi are white.
The hind legs of the female are yellow with black.
