Description:
The Malay Cruiser (Vindula dejone) is a dimorphic butterfly meaning that the male and female look different.
The male has rich fulvous orange brown wings, while the female has pale greenish grey wings.
There is a short tail on the hindwing.
The Cruiser is relatively common in Singapore, and can often be spotted in the nature reserves.
The distinctive male cannot be mistaken for any other butterfly in Singapore.
