Description:
Megaloprepus caerulatus is the world's largest dragonfly or damselfly!
The wingspan of this magnificent damselfly can reach 19 cm.
Its wings are mostly clear, with a metallic-blue band on each wing.
The band is surrounded by strips of white on either side.
Males are bigger than females, with body lengths of up to 10 cm.
Megaloprepus caerulatus is found in wet and moist forests in Central and South America.
