Omocestus haemorrhoidalis (Short-horned Grasshopper sp.)

Description:

Omocestus haemorrhoidalis is a species belonging to the family Acrididae (Short-horned Grasshoppers) and subfamily Gomphocerinae.
It is found across Europe. 
It inhabits low-vegetation, sandy to stony ground areas, also adjacent to grasslands.

Omocestus haemorrhoidalis is very similar to Stenobothrus stigmaticus.
However, Omocestus haemorrhoidalis is usually brown and Stenobothrus stigmaticus is usually green in color.
In addition, the edges of the pronotum are strongly curved in Omocestus haemorrhoidalis, while they are only slightly curved in Stenobothrus stigmaticus.
