Description:
The Pale Tussock rest with its distinctive forward-facing furry legs.
The markings are usually darker and more extensive in the males, which also have feathered orange-brown antennae.
The Pale Tussock occurs in a pale colouration known as the "juglandis form" (grey head) (1st, 3rd & 4th photo) and a dark colouration form known as the "concolor form": a form with dark front and hindwings without markings (2nd and last photo).
Caught in my self made moth trap.
