Description:
The Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) is a crocodilian native to saltwater habitats and brackish wetlands from India's east coast across Southeast Asia to northern Australia.
The Saltwater Crocodile is considered to be the largest living reptile.
Males can grow up to a length of 6 meter, rarely exceeding 6.3 meter, and a weight of 1,000 - 1,300 kg.
Females are much smaller and rarely surpass 3 meter.
The average adult male Saltwater Crocodile is considerably larger than average adult male Nile Crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus) which is the second-largest crocodilian in the world.
