Steppe Grey Shrike

Description:

The Steppe Grey Shrike (Lanius pallidirostris) is closely related to the Northern Grey Shrike (Lanius excubitor) and Iberian Grey Shrike (Lanius meridionalis).
It was formerly considered a subspecies of the Iberian Grey Shrike and some authors and authorities now consider it as a subspecies of the Northern Grey Shrike.
I have taken the liberty to treat is as a full species.
The Steppe Gey Shrike is distinguished by the shape of its white wingspot which is larger (clearly visible on the 2nd photo) than in other grey shrikes (sub)species.
