Tenthredo scrophulariae (Sawfly sp.)

Description:

Tenthredo scrophulariae is sometimes also called the Figwort Sawfly.
It belongs to the same order of wasps, bees and bumblebees: the Hymenoptera, one of the largest orders of insects.
It has a wasplike appearance although lacking the thin 'waist' of a true wasp.
