Description:
There are fourteen subspecies of the White-tipped Dove ranging from southern Texas through Mexico and Central America south to western Peru and central Argentina.
Leptotila verreauxi verreauxi occurs in South West Nicaragua through West Costa Rica and Panama to North Colombia and Northern Venezuela, with offshore islands of Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire and Margarita.
Leptotila verreauxi decolor occurs in the west subtropical zone in Colombia south through West & Central Ecuador to West & North Peru.
