Description:
The Woodlark looks rather similar to the Eurasian Skylark, but is slightly smaller.
The Woodlark can be easily distinguished by its whitish eyebrows that meet at the back of the head and a distinctive white-black-white mark at the bend of its wings.
In addition, and unlike the Eurasian Skylark, the side of its tail and the rear edge of the wings are not edged with white.
The Woodlark has a melodious, warbling song; a fluty yodel that descends in pitch, delivered in sweet series of clear, rising and falling trills while hovering, rather like the Eurasian Skylark.
