Wood Mouse

Description:

The Wood Mouse can be differentiated from other similar looking mice by its pointed snout, large protruding eyes, large rounded ears and long tail.
The similar looking House Mouse (Mus musculus) usually has a smaller head and less protruding eyes and its fur is more greyish.
In addition, the tail of a Wood Mouse is longer (longer than its body) and the upperside of its tail is darker on the upperside and lighter on the underside while the upperside of the House Mouse's tail is the same colour as the underside.
