Mottled Grasshopper

Description:

This is a small grasshopper (length: 12-19 mm) with many colour variations.
The clubbed antennae of males and the thickened antennal tips of females are distinctive, both lack white tips.
The side keels of the pronotum (neck shield) are deeply indented.
It lives in dry, sunny places where the grass is short and there is bare ground or rocks.
