Salatis sp. (Spread-winged Skipper sp.)

Description:

This is a female.

David Geale, an expert on neotropical butterflies and especially the species in Tatamá National Park, helped me identify this butterfly.
I had the great fortune to meet David at the Montezuma Lodge in Tatamá National Park during our visit.
He told me that he had never seen a Salatis species and it therefore could be an undescribed species.
They are poorly known and probably al least partly nocturnal.
