Description:
Several former subspecies of the Emerald Toucanet are now classified as separate species, or were re-assigned to other species:
1. Wagler's Toucanet,
2. Blue-throated Toucanet,
3. Violet-throated Toucanet,
4. White-throated Toucanet, and
5. Black-throated Toucanet.
