Perithemis is a genus of dragonflies commonly known as Amberwings.
They are characterized by their small size and the amber wings of the male.

This damselfly was identified by Cornelio Andrés Bota-Sierra, the Colombian dragonfly expert who I met during my stay at Montezuma Lodge in Tatama National Park.
