Description:
The Japanese Tree Frog (Dryophytes japonica) was formerly considered to be a subspecies of the European Tree Frog (Hyla arborea), but it is now a full species and endemic to Japan.
Japanese Tree Frogs are commonly found in rice paddies, and rest during the day on rice leaves and other broad-leaved vegetation.
