Description:
Since 2010, a pair of Eurasian Eagle-Owls has been breading in Überlingen.
The city is well aware of this rare occasion and has blocked the area for access by people so the owls can raise their chicks quietly (this year (2013) three in total).
Fences are placed around the cliff side where they usually sit in the day time.
At one moment, one young owl came flying right at me (top photo), scaring me to death, chasing a black bird that was feeding in the grass behind me.
Only afterwards I realized that I took a photo just before I dove away.
