Gambel`s Quail

Description:

Gambel's Quails live in the hot deserts in the South-West of the USA.
Both sexes have a comma-shaped topknot of feathers on top of their small heads which is fuller in males than in females.
Males have a bright rufous crest, chestnut flanks striped with white, and a creamy belly with a black patch.
Females are fairly plain grey on the head and neck, and lack the male's black belly patch and strong head pattern.
