Description:
Mitopus morio is a large harvestman (4.2 - 8 mm) with long legs.
The male is very contrasting with a black saddle on the yellow-white body.
Females are less contrasting, sometimes with brown, yellow or orange color casts.
Females can be confused with Phalangium opilio, but Mitopus morio has palps with dark pigmentation.
The photos show two red dots on the legs; these are mites.
