Description:
The wing pattern of the Bella Moth (Utetheisa ornatrix) is variable but distinctive.
It is the only moth in eastern North America with a pink and yellow forewing marked with rows of white-ringed black spots.
Its hindwing is pink with an uneven black border.
The Bella Moth is a conspicuous day-flier with a wingspan of 3 - 4.4 cm.
It breeds continuously in the southern United States.
