Description:
The Australian Logrunner is a small, robust, ground-dwelling bird that, when disturbed, walk away rather than fly away.
They forage on the ground, usually singly, in pairs or small family parties, scratching with their large, strong feet through the leaf litter.
Males and females are easy to distinguish; males have a white throat while females have a orange-rufous throat.
The Australian Logrunner is found on the east coast of New South Wales and Queensland.
