Description:
The Little Bunting is a rare bird in western Europe.
It breeds across the taiga of the far north-east of Europe and migrates in the winter to the subtropics in northern India, southern China and the northern parts of south-east Asia.
Male and female look similar.
The Little Bunting resembles a female Reed Bunting but is slightly smaller, has a white eye-ring, a much more brown face, a shorter tail and a fine dark border to the rear of its chestnut cheeks.
