The Clouded Yellow is a truly migratory European butterfly which breeds in North Africa, Southern Europe and the Middle East. 
This species is famous for occasional mass migrations and subsequent breeding.
Numbers arriving in Northern Europe vary from year to year, depending on warm weather.
