Atlanta, Georgia, USA - January 2018

Coming back from my trip to Jamaica, I had a 3 hour layover at Atlanta Airport before my next flight to Amsterdam. Not yet having any photographs of animals from the state of Georgia on my website, I decided to take a 20 minutes taxi ride to downtown Atlanta to see whether I could find any birds.

My first stop was at Centennial Olympic Park, right next to the Coca Cola Museum. The only birds I found here were a few House Sparrows.

Looking at my map and knowing that cemeteries usually offer good bird habitat, I decided to take the 20 minutes walk to Oakland Cemetery. Fortunately, I found some other birds here and even a lonely Eastern Grey Squirrel.

You will find my Atlanta wildlife photos on my website under Georgia.
