From 29 December 2022 to 4 January 2023, my wife and I visited my wife's sister and her French husband and 3 daughters in Evian who have been living there since 1992.
This time we did not go by plane but for the first time by (a very comfortable) train.
The train took us to Lausanne where we then took the ferry across Lake Geneva to Evian.
It was again a very pleasant family visit and New Year's Eve was very special.
We spent it in a beautiful mountain hut in the mountains: without electricity, gas and running water!
The next day we made a beautiful mountain hike and we even saw several Chamois!
