Hypolycaena hatita looks very similar to and Hypolycaena nigra.
I am not 100% sure that the butterfly on my photos is indeed H. hatita; it could also be H. nigra.
It seems that H. hatita is a little more common than H. nigra so I take it that I saw the more common species.
Both species occur in Uganda.
