Northern Carmine Bee-eater

Description:

The Northern Carmine Bee-eater (Merops nubicus) is closely related to the Southern Carmine Bee-eater (Merops nubicoides) where the throat is carmine (instead of blue).
The Northern Carmine Bee-eater occurs as far south as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and Kenya, in which countries the Southern Carmine Bee-eater also occurs.
