Rock Hyrax

Description:

The Rock Hyrax (Procavia capensis) looks quite similar to the Yellow-spotted Rock Hyrax (Heterohyrax brucei) which is also found in South Africa, albeit in the northern part.
However, the Rock Hyrax is larger and more robust, with a browner and more uniform coat, and buffer, less differentiated underparts.
In addition, the eyebrows of the Rock Hyrax are less pale and less prominent.
