Description:
Until recently, this butterfly was named Acraea jodutta.
It appears that many species formerly considered to belong to the genus Acraea may now belong to the genus Telchinia.
Telchinia jodutta looks very similar to Telchina esebria.
In general, Telchinia esebria is a little larger than Telchinia jodutta and the white markings on the forewing are slightly different.
However, it is quite a variable species so often hard to identify.
Both occur in Uganda.
